Project Overview
Annan Interiors was tasked with combining an existing 45-square-metre café with the neighbouring shop to create additional space, while keeping the café open throughout the process. The café had a great outdoor seating area, but expanding the interior was essential for accommodating increasing demand.
The Challenge
The main challenge was to remove a solid concrete wall that separated the two shops, supporting the roof and a 5-meter cantilevered veranda. We also had to build a new bathroom structure with two standard toilets, an accessible toilet, and a powder room, all while ensuring the café remained operational 7 days a week.
Client Brief
The client wanted a quality design that reflected the local community vibe. They sought a design that blended seamlessly with the neighbourhood and encouraged local customers to continue visiting.
