Project Overview
We have worked with Players Sports for ten years. Their new flagship store was designed to be the best sports store in Auckland. The store needed to reflect their brand while providing maximum merchandising flexibility, as it carries equipment for a wide range of sports—from cricket and rugby to basketball and pickleball.
The Challenge
The store had to accommodate dynamic product offerings, which change with the seasons, while also providing specialised areas for machinery used in cricket bat repairs, oiling, drying racks, and jersey presses. These areas needed to be visible to the public but safely contained. We designed full-height glass walls to give customers a view of the work being done on their equipment, adding transparency and engagement to the store’s experience.
Our Solution
The fit-out incorporated striking signage and lighting to energise the space and enhance the store’s lively atmosphere. While we’re proud of the physical design, what truly sets this store apart is the passion and expertise of the staff, who bring the store to life by sharing their in-depth sports knowledge with customers.
