Project Overview
Located in the heart of Pukekohe’s main street, 83 King St is a beautiful old brick building that had been unused for some time. The building required earthquake strengthening before it could be brought back to life. While we did not handle the construction or design work, our role was to collaborate closely with the builders and designers to carry out all joinery and finishing works.
Our Scope
Our team was responsible for a wide range of finishing touches that transformed this historic space. This included building and installing the custom designed front door, adding elegant wall mouldings, stair handrails, architraves, and skirtings. In addition, we completed the joinery and fit-out for the kitchen, lounge, bathrooms, wardrobes, and bedrooms, ensuring that each space was both functional and aesthetically pleasing while maintaining the building’s character.
The Result
The completed work at 83 King St has revived this stunning heritage building, blending modern finishes with the original charm. Our careful attention to detail and collaboration with the construction team helped create a space that is not only structurally sound but also welcoming and beautiful, ready for its next chapter.
