Old world service and craft from a high tech, innovative interior fit out company

Having installed the very latest in machinery, CNC software and processes at its Auckland site, Annan Interior’s team of 14 staff members has more than enough capacity to cope with large retail and commercial projects.

But for the Annan Interiors team there are things more important than technology, like integrity and passion and love for their craft.

Alan Annan, Managing Director

Some say Alan has sawdust in his veins, and it might well be true after 40 years in the joinery and shop fitting business.

“I have been in this business all my life – cabinetmaking, shop fitting, house building, and boat building… I have always enjoyed working with timber and wood, glass, stone, aluminium, steel, stainless steel, anything like that. Always have,” says Alan.

Known as a stickler for customer service and an innovator, Alan counts among his achievements the development of a display system for a client's products that achieved 500% return for the client.

Hayden Annan, Production Manager

Shop fitting and cabinetmaking are part of Hayden’s DNA but, more importantly, he enjoys what he does so much that going to work is all hobby and no chore.

Not only does Hayden love what he does, he’s also very good at it after having worked in the business for more than 13 years. After an early stint in the building industry, Hayden went on to complete his cabinetmaking apprenticeship in the Auckland interior fit out and shop fitting business.

At Annan Interiors Hayden is responsible for production management, quality control, some marketing and the company’s technology.

Fanie Lombard, Quantity Surveyor

Fanie Lombard is the master of planning. His job is to map out how much something will cost, and follow through the whole way on the project.

After 8 years in the residential sector Fanie moved into the more challenging commercial sector doing estimating and quantity surveying – and he hasn’t looked back since! “6 years on I still love the daily challenges of working in the commercial sector,” he says. He’s relishing his role with Annan Interiors, saying that he loves being part of a growing business and watching it expand.

No project is too big or small for Fanie. Either way, he’s totally focused on seeing every project through to the end.“My motto,” says Fanie, “is that if it is measurable, then it can be done, and done accurately.”See what we mean about being the master of planning?
